“Will Europe Man Up?”
Nope. They’re de-balled and unarmed. The same thing they’re trying to do in the US.
What we’re witnessing is extraordinary. The world’s Left and their goons killing us one at a time and in chunks and we’re letting them.
Will America?

No.
Heroes are dead. The blood of Charles Martel, Vlad Dracula and Winston Churchill have been diluted in the waters of Socialism.
We are witnessing our ancestral home burn, and all we can do it watch the embers die.
short and correct answer is NO.
Boston's collective response was pathetic. While I didn't mind the couple of days off from work because of the "lockdown", and it was great to be outside during the day walking the dog with nobody else at the park so he could run around, it was sad how quickly and compliantly the citizens of our "cradle of liberty" knuckled under to their government protectors..
I hope so
far too much estrogen in senior political levels, to fight back against the Muslims....so it will be run and hide under your bed, as the Muslims are near...
I agree...the entire process was a slap at the face of the Constitution...thus Americans.
It has been noted that in western philosophies, a four square matrix exists which describes the overall mood of a philosophy. On one axis, whether the philosophy is optimistic or pessimistic; and on the other, whether the philosophy is realistic or idealistic.
For the most part, America is both optimistic and realistic, with Americans thinking that the future will be better, but understanding that it will never be perfect.
However there is a slice of the east coast called the Tidewater, founded by stern people like the Puritans, that is just the opposite, their philosophy being both pessimistic and idealistic.
Europe has suffered through well over a thousand years of war, so has had all the idealism and optimism burned out of it. So they are pessimistic and realistic. “Things will go on like this for years, then get worse.” It is no surprise that they prefer endless jawboning, committee meetings and other drab time-wasters as a group, leaving it up to individual nations to show any sporadic strength of character.
Last but not least is enigmatic Russia, which oddly enough is both optimistic and idealistic. But they are also philosophically divided by western and eastern philosophies, which have their own rules. So their optimism makes them attractive as a people to Americans, their idealism makes them seem a little bonkers; but when their Asiatic side is engaged, Americans are often freaked out by it.
That about sums it up.
Nice post.
I get a new perspective every day here at FR.
Thanks.
(Oh, France is doomed.)
No. They’re more into candle light vigils and cute hashtags!

They’ll man up about the time our Congress does. Never.
Don’t be too quick to judge. Even the Pentagon used the film The Battle of Algiers (1966), in 2003, which shows the French when the kid gloves come off, and how they won the battles in Algeria, but lost the “hearts & minds” war.
An interesting film, it is balanced enough to show the ruthlessness involved on both sides. Well worth a look.
France also still has a Napoleonic era national “Examining Magistrate”, who is often called “the most powerful man in France.” Even Napoleon himself said in jest that his was just the power of an Emperor, and that if he wanted real power, he would have been the Examining Magistrate.
The former EM was central to the French anti-terrorism effort, as he could investigate anyone, as long as he wanted, put them in prison for a very long time, and he also deported thousands of bad Muslims.
There is no parallel at all in the US.
