The single image of LaQuan McDonald for the past six months has been that of a 17-year-old African-American teenager dressed in a red graduation cap and gown.
Beyond the fact that he was shot and killed by a Chicago police officer the night of October 20, 2014, only a few facts about the remainder of his life have been reported.

The cop in question shot McDonald 16 times, the video allegedly shows him being shot while on the ground. PCP was found in his system, and he had a blade, 3 or 4 inches depending on which story you read, and had already slashed a tire on a squad car.
Decision on whether to charge the officer tomorrow, video must be released by court order, no later than Wednesday.
Pray for peace and respectful demonstrations when the video is released. Chicago doesn't need more problems.

I’m sorry, but it’s hard not to form the opinion that this police officer decided to mete out extrajudicial capital punishment in this case.

Gang member, criminal record, on PCP, threatening people and stealing, refusing to drop a weapon despite several guns trained upon him - yep I definitely get the picture that he was an honor’s student. The condescension just oozes from the press every time they show another idiot kid dressed up in a cap and gown. It is pathetic and needs to be savagely mocked. Thomas Wolfe made it very clear - the police only shoot young black men who are honor students.
Yeah this kid sounds pretty non - “aggressive”. Another idiot teacher commenting on an idiot student. Can you imagine the outrage if the teacher said, “ Yep, I knew he was heading for a body bag the first week I laid eyes upon him.”

16 rounds may, or may not, be insane. As a former LEO, I have seen dudes high on PCP snap chains on handcuffs and brawl with broken wrists. That stuff is powerful and will keep a person cranked up way beyond what a normal person would ever be capable of.

All this will come out at trial, and more. People should avoid the urge to lynch based on what comes out of the media and after almost seven years of Obama stirring up racial tensions.
So far the vast majority of officers in these sensationalist cases have been exonerated at trial, and even Obama’s DOJ has failed to file charges after investigating.
