Rush Limbaugh said that one major difference between Donald Trump and Ted Cruz is that Cruz has no past record of supporting liberal Democrat policies.

If Rush said that, it is flat out wrong and very disappointing. The biggest difference is that Cruz is owned by CoC and CFG as his TPA and corker bill votes proved. Trump is not owned by anyone.

RE: The biggest difference is that Cruz is owned by CoC and CFG as his TPA and corker bill votes proved

Ted Cruz explains why he voted for the Corker bill:

___________________________________

“This bill was a missed opportunity. If Congress had acted to defend our constitutional authority — if Congress had adopted the Cruz-Toomey amendment — then we would be able to stop a bad Iran deal. Instead, the odds are now overwhelming that under these ground rules President Obama will negotiate, and Congress will acquiesce to, a terrible deal that allows Iran to acquire nuclear weapons and will endanger the lives of millions of Americans and our allies.

“I voted no on cloture because we should have insisted on amendments to put real teeth in this bill. Ultimately, I voted yes on final passage because it may delay, slightly, President Obama’s ability to lift the Iran sanctions and it ensures we will have a Congressional debate on the merits of the Iran deal. I will continue to lead the fight to prevent the Islamic Republic of Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons and to protect the national security of America and our allies.”

At least Cruz is honest about this bill and isn’t acting as though it were some big victory, like McConnell and Corker.

So nope, I disagree that he is owned by the CoC and the CFG.

Oh what a pant load.

I have posted on here repeatedly that Cruz fought corker tooth and nail. When it was clear it was going to pass anyway he voted for it as that gave him the procedural right to attack it again in the future.

TPA - That is his ONE aberration - and because it cannot be discussed it is a mystery.

So you are going to dismiss the only real pit bull we have in the Senate because of ONE vote?

Trump may not be owned by anyone - and I love what he says these days (mostly some of his ideas about government and business are not conservative) - BUT HE HAS BEEN A LIBERAL HIS ENTIRE LIFE UNTIL RECENTLY.

I find it absolutely childish that the Trump supports pay no attention to his past and only focus on what he says.

That is short sighted, poor, analysis.

Cruz isn’t owned by anybody. If you’re worried about a candidate owned by corporate interests, Trump is the guy to watch. Trump IS a huge corporation. You seriously expect him to govern against his own interests? If a policy will help his family business, he will put it through.
