I would say this is obvious.
Here’s one difference:
Trump supports the Kelo vs City of New London Decision of the Supreme Court where the taking of private property by the government in order to build hotels and casinos for “economic development” was deemed compatible with the constitution.
Ted Cruz does not.
Cruz’s team seems to actually, literally be shifting to a “nicer, gentler,” compassionate conservatism with recent statements (because that worked so well for Jeb Bush), not to mention he is outright deceptive on immigration and TPP.
El Rushbo needs to go back to taking oxycotin. Something is amiss.
There is only one consistent conservative in this race.
Okay captain obvious...
Now, if Rush can just convince Democrats, Independents, and Moderate Republicans to vote for Cruz, why he’s a shoe-in.
Unfortunately, he can’t.
Duh! Who knew?
Trumpeters have blinders on. Oh well.
I am listening to Rush today but did not hear this.
It is possible I missed it when I was outside for a couple of minutes but I will wait to read the transcript before I believe he said it.
Trump is a populist, and I’ll take a populist over the GOPe, RINOs and Hillary.
But I prefer a true blue conservative: CRUZ!
Unfortunately for our side (Right), the REAL difference won’t be known until AFTER the election (should one of these two be the Republican Nominee). The reason for this is simple; Which one of these two (Trump or Cruz) will survive the awaiting Cultural and Media onslaught once the Republican candidate is known? At the end of the day, Cruz maybe able to get 100% of ALL the Conservatives but will be made into some kind of monster he’s not, by the MSM, Cultural Elites, etc....that he won’t be able to get “working class” blue collar workers from the Upper Midwest (among other places),10-15% of the African Americans (like I believe Trump WILL GET)- to offset the Hispanic Vote going 75% towards the Democrats, and so on! As for Trump....I think he will either surprise a lot of people in the General Election by getting over 50% or he will lose in a landslide “if” we’re to believe “conventional” wisdom- which hasn’t held up with Trump so far!
However you look at it, Cruz has a more conservative resume than Trump. Trump has way more charisma and influence than Cruz.
Rush loves both Trump and Cruz. I think he loves Cruz more but admires Trump’s refusal to take any media guff.
And, like me, he may think Trump is more electable.
I’ll happily go with either man. Both would be wonderful and turn the country around.
And I think Trump would lead to 8 years of Cruz.
Okay, I read the first 10 posts and I’m outta here.
I can’t stand the infighting which is destructive to both candidates.
