FYI - there is nothing in Christianity that says people cannot defend themselves from evil. In fact, we are commanded to resist evil at all costs.
Christianity does demand a sense of forgiveness in that we do not judge the souls of others; let Jesus be the judge. Still in this world, we are allowed to use force, if necessary, to defend our selves.
“But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.” Matthew 5:39.
