The GOPe would prefer Hillary over Trump and/or Cruz.
U R right. And he promised he wouldn’t do that.
Hillary is poison. Even as a “write-in” candidate, Trump would destroy her.

The lesser-evil or imperfect-candidate argument no longer holds water.
It worked when voting Bush in 2000 and 2004, and you could make an argument for it in 2012 because Obama was just THAT bad. And it certainly works even if you have a dim view of Trump’s other positions, because the wall is just THAT important.
But it’s gotten to the point where the GOP establishment brand isn’t even throwing scraps to conservatives any more. If there is a difference, it’s not enough of a difference to matter.
So go Trump. Run third party if you’re given the shaft. If nothing else, it would be fun to watch, which is better than what it would otherwise be.
