I don’t think a refugee database would protect us any more than the libtards’ gun database would affect protect them from “gun violence.” What it *would* do is make it easier to locate and I.D. terrorists after the fact.
In aid of that I have an idea: The first time I saw the phrase “vet the refugees” I imagined veterinarians converging from miles around with their chip injectors. RFID them and enter *that* in a database; then issue law enforcement long-range chip-readers.
