Five more Syrians have been detained at an international port of entry in Laredo, Texas. The Syrian group consisted of one family unit and two additional males. This is the second group of Syrians this week who have arrived at the international bridge in Laredo.
DHS has confirmed to KGNS-TV8âs Valerie Gonzalez in Laredo that U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has taken five Syrians into custody after they presented themselves at an official port of entry in Laredo. The family consisted of a man, a woman and a child. Two other men also presented themselves.
The statement from CBP says they took the group into custody and ran background checks against numerous law enforcement and national security databases. No derogatory information was found on any of the individuals.
The Syrians were transferred to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials and are being taken to ICE detention facilities.
...the presence of these Syrians arriving at the Laredo port of entry, combined with the Pakistanis and Afghans who were arrested in southern Arizona, shows there is a pipeline whereby people can travel from the Middle East to Mexico. They are then able to move quickly up to the American border and then cross, either at a port of entry like these two groups of Syrians have done, or by crossing the wide-open unsecured border like happened in Arizona.

I keep wondering how these people are getting to Mexico from Syria or anywhere in the ME. It can’t be a cheap trip.
Could Cuba be the point of entry into Mexico?
Easily.
I’m sure this will be the lead story on the See BS Evening News.
Do I need a sarcasm tag?
Definitely a pipeline here that needs to be cut off.
No problem with Assyrian Christians but Obama and ISIS can kiss my Abdullah Abu Yabba Dabba Doo
Well worth the money. They don’t have to wait for legal entry, just cut ahead of line, and once they are here they are welcomed and well cared for.
I think I’ll learn Spanish and go sneak across the border so I can get free health care and go on the dole.
I’ve thought about doing that a few times in my life.
I agree Rusty. Legal routes work great for the well connected but regular folks are much better off sneaking over the border, jumping the line straight to benefits and protected status.
A very interesting thought. It could well be.
But it would still take some bucks to get to Cuba. Who the heck is funding these people? They are supposed to be dirt poor and running for their lives.
They should super glue DEA windbreakers on them and force them to run back into Mexico.
Now I may be wrong, it may take bucks but not from the people but the people who want them settled here (if you get my drift). Is there a government agency or a person like George Soros paying Cuba to let them in and use Cuba as an entry to get to Mexico?
I get your drift. Sometimes I’m slow. :)
soros, the gulf states and the soetoro regime is funding it.
Hmm another “We told you so” moment. Anyone with half a brain knew this would happen. Same with Syrian “refugees” in Europe.
Sneaky bass turds. So sick of hearing about all kinds coming through from Mexico. Why if they make it to that country don’t they just settle THERE? Why are people always forcing way into US instead of going where it’s expedient or wanting to be with their own kind? It does make me wonder.
Widows and Orphans?
Their on a mission from God.
