Classically BAD reporting. Nowhere does it state that the real mother died, but there are two CLUES that she did!
I saw this in the Post this AM, but it does seem to be a different piece. The one I read did say the woman had died.
I feel very bad for the fellow involved, but it sounds like he did the right thing. Good on him for getting that baby away from that lunatic right away.
