Quick Question: Obama and Wife Hosted Heavily Publicized Wed Eve Parties and now I don't hear about them anymore.
Are there no more parties with top billed entertainment, or is the media covering for them?
Am I missing the fantastic menus and diverse leftists dancing the night away?

I don’t know about the parties, but I haven’t heard anything at all about the wife in quite a while.

I imagine they were getting too much flak about their elitist/racist wednesday brawls so the meida started covering for them.

Last Saturday night:
White House says Prince concert for 500 was 'private'
While it's not unusual for the president to host official receptions that are closed to the press, they're typically included on his official schedule, distributed to the media in advance. But President Barack Obama's schedule for Saturday made no mention of the party, and the pool reporter was sent home before 5:30 p.m. after accompanying Obama on a golf outing. Instead, the announcement came from the Rev. Al Sharpton, who tweeted as he was "Leaving the White House party w/POTUS and FLOTUS. Awesome to see Prince and Stevie Wonder on keyboards together. Unbelievable experience."

I hear the President and his wife will be reenacting scenes from Rocky Horror.
