At a guess, I spoke last week with a couple of hundred Syrian refugees who are among the four million registered with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refuges.
I asked everyone I talked to about what they knew about Canada. About half of them were aware that it was cold there. The same number knew that Christians lived there.
Almost nobody could tell me where Canada was, except that is was far away.
Canada’s refugees are being drawn from a pool of the poorest of the poor. The prospective settlers whom I met in Lebanon and during previous visits to Jordan and Turkey overwhelmingly struck me as honest people who have lived through the twin hells of Bashar Al Assad’s tyrannical regime and subjugation by ISIL and the other violent outfits which want to inherit his mantle. Rather than inquiring even once about what entitlements Canada might provide them with, they repeatedly declared that their overriding consideration was simply to find a place to go that was peaceful.
Lacking higher education or easily transferable skill sets, and with scant English or French, they will require an immense amount of help and encouragement when they arrive on the other side of the pond.

The mayor of Vancouver BC has been on record of welcoming the new "refugees". The trials and tribulations of people there seeking decent affordable accommodations are loudly proclaimed. A very low vacancy rate, even if one is prepared to fork out $1.849 monthly exists. A student claimed he had to compete against 8 others for such a two room apartment. The prospective landlord grilled him in an adversarial manner. He searched for two months.
The number of homeless in Vancouver is said to be by organized count- 2.600. The multi-cultural crew will be on hand for photo ops. Anyone finding some disruption will be called the usual names.
Several days ago, the Premier of Saskatchewan raised the point that there is little or no screening possible for these refugees. He wanted the government to go slow in bringing in the refugees.
He was, of course, attacked by the ‘usual suspects’. They, the mindless lefties, don’t see the irony that THEY are the worst proponents on NIMBY! The squeal from them IF a Syrian family landed next door, could be heard from Vancouver Island to Newfoundland! Hypocrites!
It is marginally better than allowing the rather wealthy, single mohamedan ‘yoots’ that Europe has received. JUST marginally!
Another report that I’ve read states that 900 refugees EACH DAY are arriving from the Middle East! Turd-owe will hit his ‘target’ of 25,000 before Christmas! (A ‘Christmas gift’ from a socialist/muslim? A gift that will keep on giving, like Ebola or the plague!). That would be equivalent to 8,200 refugees arriving EACH DAY into the US! Seems to me that most FReepers have an issue with 10,000 IN TOTAL! Would YOU like to welcome 225,000 Syrian refugees into YOUR country BEFORE Christmas?
IF these refugees were all Christian, or at least NOT followers of the paedophile, murder, rapist, etc. (PBUH-Perdition Be Upon Him), while they would be a problem, given their tribal nature, lack of skills and language barrier, I would be hesitatingly OK with it.
The fact that likely well over 90% of the refugees coming to Kanada are followers of the paedophile’s teachings, gives me pause. Here are families who don’t speak English or French, have no skills, consider 15°C to be ‘frigid’, are tribal, and will be 7,000 to 11,000 km from their ‘support network’, and landing in Kanada in the winter! They will be extremely frustrated, (as would I), and extremely COLD. Frustrated people often lash out.
When people are hurting and frustrated, they turn to their ‘god’ and their ‘book’ for comfort and direction. For a Christian, it is the Bible; for a muhamedan, it is the koran. According to Dr. Nabeel Qureshi (muslim born, now a Christian apologist), there is NO COMFORT from ‘allah’ in the koran, only direction and hate. So, we’ll have 25,000 frustrated muhamedans turning to the koran for ‘inspiration’. What could EVER go wrong?
Sure, the vast majority will be peaceful, but even if 1% follow MadMo’s instructions, that is 250 frustrated muhamedans, infilled with MadMo’s ‘spirit’. Let’s not forget that there are several Wahhabi mosques in Canada. How many of them would be ‘chomping at the bit’ to ‘evangelize’ these new, confused and frustrated mohamedans’!
Bringing in families of poor, uneducated mohamedans is better than thousands of young, single, somewhat wealthy mohamedans, but only marginally.
