Since I'm not familiar with military protocol, how likely is it that a Marine would publish his Marine photo ID ?

An image of a current ID provides opportunity for creation of fake IDs.

Given history of several recent shooter events at military installations, one would presume it not likely acceptable protocol to publish Marine (any military) photo ID.
