Proliferation of PC horse sh*t.
The reason employers should re-think a UM business grad is the question of what courses were dropped in order to fit in the fluff courses. That little detail was conveniently overlooked in the article. Even worse, if these courses were merely layered on top of the previous requirements, then UM has added nearly a semester of cost for the students. I know of a college of business that has dedicated itself to degree value for the student by committing to a 120-hour degree program that can be completed in 4 years. This UM addition to their degree program reduces student value.
Here we go again, touting as fact things that just are not so. Wonder why it costs so much to go to college?
“Ross School of Business”
The FIRST THING they can do is RENAME the school, as it is named after a WHITE MAN.
Ok Michigan, show some balls. Let’s see you pull Ross’s name off, and rename the school after someone like Mumia Abu-Jamal, a PERSON OF INCLUSION, since he’s black and killed a white cop (in Philadelphia)m, all in an attempt to ‘heal the country’.
But they WILL NOT...Ross obviously dumped a LOT OF MONEY into that school, and money still rules.

If I’m a corporate headhunter 10 years from now not only do I not hire any of Mizzo’s grads, I search my HR database for anyone who paid tuition there for their kids and fire them.
MBA at that school will set one back close to $120 K not including room and board. A three year diversity sequence means $15 K down the toilet assuming one takes 24 courses over the three years.
I got my MBA at around the same time. Business Law and HR both had significant “diversity” components, but both were taught not from an ideological indoctrination perspective, but a risk mitigation one.
The HR prof really held nothing back when it came to calling it all out as BS, but BS we needed to know about to protect ourselves and organizations from.
“Please pay for spending 50 hours in guilt tripping lectures AND you have to repeat how guilty you feel for existing in order to pass” shouldn’t go over well with parents or taxpayers either.
