Then you must be too young to remember. The Iran-Iraq War ran from 1980 to 1988, the whole length of the Reagan presidency. It was one of the longest wars of the 20th Century.

I think people are missing something here. If he gets in now after stating he would not it has bigger implications. It means the FBI case against Hillary is going to be allowed to be prosecuted and Hillary will not survive the fallout.
Yes, and good diplomatic relations reigned from 1990 to 2003. During which time both countries built up their anti-US and anti-Israel terror machines.
Like I said, if Saddam truly was Iran’s deadliest enemy, he would never have stopped until he brought down the Islamic Republic of Iran (if he were capable of same that is), UN or no UN. That’s why I suspect Khomeini’s demise to be at least one chief factor here.
