They have to go. And, in both cases, they will.

...the absolutely ridiculous response to Trump from people on here that claim Cruz. They do it on EVERY Trump post, so they deserve it. The projection is strong with this one.

Cruz just supports amnesty period. It has a $6.3 trillion price tag.

Going to have to go out and they will come back but they are going to have to go out and hopefully they get back. Most of them won't even qualify for a tourist visa let along a permanent immigrant visa. Like Cruz, you need to parse his words.

You’re denying what is on the record.
Fortunately, pretender/entertainer Trump stands zero chance of ever getting elected to anything.
Enough people have their smarts on the Republican side to keep it from happening.

I play to people's fantasies (yours kabar). People may not always think big themselves, but they can still get very excited by those who do (like you do). That's why a little hyperbole never hurts (like establishing precedents swiping people's land for the politically favored, or warrantless surveillance on American citizens as he said today). People (like you) want to believe that something is the biggest and the greatest and the most spectacular. Donald Trump, The Art of the Deal, 1987 It's boomerang amnesty. You just can't admit you've been had.

Trump wants to expedite them back, and he is going to work with Ryan and Mitch in Congress to legalize them.
Trump: I would get people out and then have an expedited way of getting them back into the country so they can be legal.....I want to move 'em out, and we're going to move 'em back in and let them be legal.
It's a touchback expedited, cut-the-line, legalization amnesty for millions.
And most of his supporters don't even realize it.

It's a touchback expedited, cut-the-line, legalization amnesty for millions. Correct. All liars eventually slip. Trumps supporters are so blinded by their desperation they can't see it when he lets slip what he really has in mind.
BTW, please provide a source link with the quote, I'd like to add it to my collection.

"3D. End birthright citizenship."This issue will become practically irrelevant with Trumps approach, and the fact it's included in Cruz's plan tells me there's an assumption that it will be an ongoing problem of some significance. Translation: there's still going to be millions coming in so we need to address this. Not good.

Thiessen was the first reporter to get it right. You will note how FoxNews has shut him up about it.
This whole thing with Trump has frustrated me terribly, because he is such an obvious fake, playing a caricature meant to give the clueless a bad taste in their mouths about Republicans and conservatives. It's SO obvious... I just can't believe how many have fallen for it.

"Dream on. Cruz has a hard time breaking single digits." LOL, uh-huh. They were saying the same thing during his Senate run, when he was polling at -1, according to one count. He had no name recognition, and was up against a very popular, wealthy, self-funded candidate. General opinion was that he was a fool to run. And we know how that turned out.
All you Trumpsters can do is parrot poll numbers---a year out from the election. That's all you have. Because otherwise, you'd have to delve into the liberal stances and instability of your erratic candidate. And that is very carefully and studiously ignored.
Bottom line, if you really thought Trump was inevitable and Cruz no threat, you wouldn't swarm Cruz threads like a pack of yapping, ankle-biting lapdogs.

“Erratic” enough to break into philosophical territory that none of the others did, or at best did belatedly.
We need that kind of “erratic.” Other parts of it may or may not stink, but we never were promised a rose garden that had no thorns.
