for some time now United has been advertising the medicare second insurance. They dropped their medicare advantage coverage ads altogether.
You correctly stated the widely misunderstood relation between United and AARP.
AARP is not an insurer.
The United policies when for sale, could be purchased direct with no AARP involvement
The goal is to get it down to four BC/BS partners, Humana and Kaiser. Then the Feds just have to come up with a handful of golden parachutes in order to take over and do single payer.
How many more thousands will join the ranks of the policy cancellation crowd?
ObamaCare was meant to fail. Its’ purpose was to pave the way for Single-Payer.
Unexpected, of course.
Wow, I didn’t see that coming /sarcasm
This was THE company along with AARP who pushed Obamacare.
Hmmmm
United Healthcare sent their employees all over the country urging a yes vote on Obamacare. They figured they would make billions a year getting free money from the Fed. They spent over 10 million dollars promoting this evil. I hope they go bankrupt.
“I’d be interested in how much United Healthcare contributed to the kenyan’s campaign and for ramming through 0bamacare.”
See post# 29.
the cheering in DC is the sound of politicians dancing because Ryan WILL bail out obamacare and stick on self serving pork projects to the bill.
... oh. and he will PRETEND TO FIGHT along the way.
These insurers took huge government subsidies (your money) while the getting was good — when Obamacare shut down the individual insurance market leaving millions without a choice but to sign up for this turd or go without insurance. They all have actuaries who knew this would FAIL.
Now they’re crying foul. Screw ‘em. Their crony capitalism made this turd possible.
Is it my imagination, or have all the companies and State versions of Obamacare bailing out due to financially impossible conditions simply transform the inept system to be converted into the biggest, most impossible to control welfare program?
How much were they being subsidized by the Feds?
The 2 health insurers in my town expect over $300,000,000 in losses from Obamacare folks this year alone..... But you know, you are going to save $2500 on your premiums... oh wait, scratch that, they are up over $1000 a year since Obamacare became the law.
