GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump believes that the war on terror will require unprecedented surveillance of America’s Muslims.
“We’re going to have to do thing that we never did before,†he said during a Yahoo interview. “Some people are going to be upset about it, but I think that now everybody is feeling that security is going to rule,†Trump said.
“Certain things will be done that we never thought would happen in this country in terms of information and learning about the enemy,†he added. “We’re going to have to do things that were frankly unthinkable a year ago.â€
Trump would not rule out warrantless searches in his plans for increased surveillance of the nation’s Muslims, Yahoo reported Thursday.
He also remained open toward registering U.S. Muslims in a database or giving them special identification identifying their faith, the news outlet added.
“We’re going to have to look at a lot of things very closely,†Trump said. “We’re going to have to look at the mosques. We’re going to have to look very, very carefully.â€
Trump additionally floated former New York Police Department Commissioner Ray Kelly for a position in his potential presidential administration.
“Ray’s a great guy,†he said of the former NYPD chief. “Ray did a fab job as commissioner, and sure, Ray would be somebody I’d certainly consider.â€

Or we can just stop importing muslims period. There is no legal reason we have to accept these people into our country. Especially people who’s religion is incompatible with every bit of our way of life.

The Democrats are insane.

Depending upon the public reaction, it just may be that Obama pushed his leftism a little too far and will end up with his worst nightmare.

“Slippery slope” stuff. Would have to be VERY specific and targeted, possibly only to non-citizens, known criminals, and those on high risk terror watch lists.
We really don’t want to go there. That would be no different than the creation of the NSA after 9/11. Today’s Muslim is tomorrow’s Christian. Best to, sadly, generalize and allow no one from those nations.
What does it matter there are Syrians creeping across the Mexican border.
Commissioner Ray Kelly had NYC undercover officers present at every gathering of Muslims in NYC mosques, but that is now no longer the case.
So now NYC Muslims get to plan how to fund the jihad, support & supply the jihadin.
Trump is right.
Although I agree with Trump about re-initiating clandestine surveillance of Mosques, Islam Centers, Madrasses, et al, this will never fly.

I was thinking more along the lines of an image of a pig branded onto their foreheads.
Terrorists can not be compared to Jewish suffering. The Jews of Germany did noting to deserve their treatment, but muslim pigs have.
During WWII we put Japanese, Germans and some others in concentration camps. Here we are today and islam is at war with us. I say give all muslims a choice; Leave, quit islam or go to a camp. This include Louis Farrakan and his bunch too.
Everyone is already in the governments data base...can you say social security numbers? Nothing new.
