Obama says Syrian refugees are no bigger threat to US than ‘tourists’ (A madman occupies the WH)

President Obama said Thursday that Syrian refugees are no more dangerous to the U.S. than tourists, and he accused Republican presidential candidates of stoking fears about the refugees and closing the Guantanamo Bay terrorist detention center to score political points.

Speaking to reporters at a summit in the Philippines, Mr. Obama said the “overwhelming numbers” of Syrians who are applying for entry to the U.S. “are children, women, families — themselves victims of terrorism.” He said they are already subject to rigorous vetting by U.S. security officials. “The idea that somehow they pose a more significant threat than all the tourists who pour into the United States every single day just doesn’t jive with reality,” Mr. Obama said. “So my expectation is after the initial spasm of rhetoric, the people will settle down, take a look at the facts, and we’ll be able to proceed.”

OK, take the man at his word and cancel all tourist visas. Congress could defend that activity easily enough.

Obama cares more about Syrian refugees - who are overwhelmingly military-aged single men - than he does about American citizens or American security. He's made that abundantly clear the last week.

“Obama says Syrian refugees are no bigger threat to US than tourists”

He can not know this to be the fact of the matter, yet he makes the pronouncement as though he does, and just like the liberal democrat that he is, he expects people to believe him because it is he who makes the pronouncement.

“Obama says Syrian refugees are no bigger threat to US than ‘tourists’”

We’re all thinking of terrorism.

Note also that tourists aren’t subsidized by our welfare system.

President Obama said Thursday that Syrian refugees are no more dangerous to the U.S. than tourists,

Yeah, he's right...if you associate "tourists" with people who just aren't from a particular place. Kind of like the German "tourists" that visited Paris in the early summer of 1940:

Waiter: "May I be of service to you monsieur?"

German "Tourist": "Ja, schweinhund, table for 60,000, SCHNELL!"

***refugees are no more dangerous to the U.S. than tourists,***

I believe Thailand found that out several years ago when North Korean tourists blew up a shrine, then moslem tourists blew up a shrine.

Islam in the Philippines:

https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/philippines/terrorism

Terrorism

There is a high threat from terrorism throughout the country. Terrorist groups continue to plan attacks and have the capacity and the intent to carry out attacks at anytime and anywhere in the country. Attacks could be indiscriminate, including in places frequented by foreigners like airports, shopping malls, public transport and places of worship.

There are several terrorist groups operating in the Philippines that continue to pose a threat. These groups include New People’s Army (NPA), the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG), Jemaah Islamiyah (JI) and other associated groups. Although there is hope that the 2014 comprehensive peace agreement will bring the 40 year insurgency in the south of the country to an end, extreme elements within the two main insurgent groups, the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF), continue to pose a security threat. A splinter group of the MILF, the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF), has been responsible for a number of attacks on the Philippine military and security services.

Civilian targets in Mindanao have been attacked and there remains a threat of attacks throughout much of the Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao.

Be aware of the risk of terrorist attacks to all forms of public transport: road, rail, sea and air. Terrorist groups have threatened to attack passenger ferries and other vessels, particularly those operating from Mindanao. You should avoid using public transport throughout Mindanao.

There is considered to be a heightened threat of terrorist attack globally against UK interests and British nationals, from groups or individuals motivated by the conflict in Iraq and Syria. You should be vigilant at this time.

Kidnapping

Kidnapping could occur anywhere. There’s a particular threat in the southern Philippines, which includes but is not limited to the island of Mindanao, the Sulu archipelago and coastal and island resorts, dive boats and sites in the Sulu Sea. Foreigners have been targeted in rural, urban and coastal areas. Kidnap groups in the Sulu archipelago have sought to expand their reach northwards including by working with affiliates to abduct foreign nationals from one area of the Philippines before transporting the victims to another. On 21 September a group of foreign nationals were targeted and kidnapped from a boat near a holiday resort on Samal Island in Davao del Norte. On 7 October a foreign national was targeted and kidnapped in a restaurant Dipolog in Zamboanga del Norte. Information as of late October 2015 indicates that kidnap for ransom groups may be planning operations in North Mindanao including the islands off the coast.

The long-standing policy of the British government is not to make substantive concessions to hostage takers. The British government considers that paying ransoms and releasing prisoners increases the risk of further hostage taking.

Islamic propaganda by the US gov re: the Pilippines:

http://ncca.gov.ph/subcommissions/subcommission-on-cultural-communities-and-traditional-arts-sccta/central-cultural-communities/the-history-of-the-muslim-in-the-philippines/

Muslim Legacy

Just like other Muslim nations in Southeast Asia, national identity of the Philippine Muslims was shaped by Islam and further developed in the course of their heroic struggle against western colonialism. Right after the first encounter with foreign aggressors in 1570 at Manila, the Philippine Muslims won a distinct honor as “Moro”, an identity put forward by the aggressors after the Moors of Spain. They were called Moros only on account of their Islamic ideology and their culture being similar to the Moors who conquered Spain for 785 years. To the Spaniards, the term Moro would also mean Muslim. Since then, the Muslims in this country have been identified in Southeast Asia and across the Muslim world as the Bangsamoro people. This identity is officially recognized by the Organization of Islamic Countries. This is the reference by which the historians and government legislators recognized the official designation of the Muslims in the country and is now enshrined in the Muslim Organic Act of 1989.

The history of the Bangsamoro people is no doubt ranked as the first line of historical development of the Philippines. The Muslims’ sultanate institution, the religious legacy of Islam and the Muslim adat have nurtured the doctrine of Bangsamoro nationalism. The cohesiveness of the 11 Muslim groups under the spirit of Islamic brotherhood is a living reality of Bangsamoro nationalism. This should form part of the Philippines’ political foundation. It is within this context by which the struggle of the Bangsamoro people finds a just treatment in Philippine history.

MFer is spouting this crap while abroad in the Philipines.

Gets more outrageous by the day.

Just a sample of his post-presidential career. He has put Jimmuh Carter solidly in the second worst president position. A bitter weed till he passes on.

Obama said in Manila......

...they’re scared of widows and orphans coming into the United States of America .... they’re worried about three-year-old orphans. That doesn’t sound very tough to me,

Here's Obama's so-called widows and orphans......

Hasna Ait Boulahcen...Her head and spine were found in the street after she beheaded herself with a suicide bomb belt....
