SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- A Utah county prosecutor said Wednesday he is investigating U.S. Sen. Harry Reid of Nevada in connection with a pay-to-play scheme involving two former Utah attorneys general.
Davis County Attorney Troy Rawlings, a Republican, said in a statement that he's looking into allegations related to the Democratic senator.
Rawlings declined to disclose the allegations and only said the claims are based on information from witnesses in the attorneys general case.
Reid, who hasn't been charged, fired back at Rawlings in a statement from his spokeswoman Kristen Orthman. She said Rawlings is using "Sen. Reid's name to generate attention to himself and advance his political career, so every few months he seeks headlines by floating the same unsubstantiated allegations."
Reid has denied wrongdoing since a businessman said in 2013 that a former Utah attorney general arranged a deal to pay the senator to get rid of a federal investigation into a software business. . .

This is in Utah. If it had been in Nevada the list of charges probably would fill an encyclopedia.

I thought that was the basic reason for politics. Bait and switch is also a part of politics.
Gee! I had better wake up and smell the roses. I had no idea that these honest men and women would do anything that was not legal and proper.

I believe it is time for Dirty Harry to have another rematch with his stair climber.
Somehow these investigations lead to these tragic accidents.
,,,,,, get a rope !!! forget about an investigation . Harry is as responsible as 0bama for our current demise . He systematically refused hundreds of bills from even an up or down vote in the senate . HE IS TOTALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR 7 YRs OF GRIDLOCK .

I think Harry Reid would like almost anywhere that Guido, the Treadmill couldn’t jump out and beat him up. He deserves at least that, and that’s the truth.

If this suit was in Nevada, it wouldn’t get off the drawing board. The nasty, evil little man has bought so many people off, and has so many holdings that only death will stop him.
He intimidates everyone that get in the way of his “goals.”
We need more Guido, where he is concerned.

I’ve done the most research OF ANYONE ANYWHERE as far as I can tell. Yet I am ignored, probably because Harry is feared.
That’s what I thought. Maybe you’d like to share some of it with the Utah attorneys - just a thought.
