I say it's getting very difficult to have an honest Internet discussion on the subject. Muslims, when called on facts, instantly start claiming that the scriptures quoted cannot be understood unless you are an imam; that the imam they choose is the actual authority, even if he says the scripture in question means something diametrically opposed to what it actually says; and that it's all Israel's fault, anyway.

Islam's adherents appear to have even less capacity for critical self-analysis than Black Lives Matter activists.

Most Muslims don’t understand what the Koran actually says....so when Westerners appear to know more about their book then they do they you as an enemy because you shouldn’t know more then they do....thus they go on the defensive every time.

It’s very difficult to speak with a Muslim unacquainted with what the koran says....he’s humiliated easily under normal circumstances...but when we speak with them regarding their beliefs they have no recourse but to divert because they don’t know the Koran.....they must save face absolutely.

The Hadith says it’s OK for a Muslim to lie to an infidel, especially if the lie advances Islam. Thus, they will lie to your face about what their scripture says, if the truth would make non-Muslims hostile to Islam.
