I don’t think Trump wants us to go to war in Syria. I have heard him say let Russia bomb the shit out of them.
I believe the Trump Doctrine calls for bombing the shit out of ISIS and taking their oil as payment. Also going after their bankers. I do assume though, that if ISIS is in Syria we’d have to partner up with Russia and help them bomb the shit out of ISIS.
I have no idea who these so-called rebels are.

How the devil we do that without boots on the ground is mind-boggling. That he said this right after decrying the idea of a “no fly zone” is equally confusing.

They are the Syrian “insurgency” that obama has created to weaken Syria and allow ISIS to take over.
This is what Bengazi was all about. Stevens stumbled onto Obama’s operations in Libya and got really steamed about it. Stevens was a total pacifist from the SF Bay Area SNCC bunch in Oakland.
Obama and Clinton engineered Stevens’ assassination at Bengazi.

I say there, I think those rebels were a number of five left, in Syria, according to that congressional hearing testimony several weeks back.
Remember, it was a half a million per man went to train these “good rebels” and the general said there were 5 left. Pathetic, huh? The others were already killed by ASSAD, or left the country. They are “refugees” no doubt, by now.
Trump plan might work but Turkey will be a problem (as usual). The Turks will not allow an autonomous Kurdish region on their border. Turkey feels that would encourage Turkish Kurds to revolt in a effort to join with Iraqi Kurds.
