French police on Wednesday in their raid of an apartment in north Paris fired no less than 5,000 bullets, leading many in Israel to question the double standard of the West demanding Israel show "restraint" in the face of terror
Reportedly 110 officers took part in the raid on an apartment in the suburb of St. Denis, where the Islamic State (ISIS) mastermind of Saturday's lethal attacks, Abdelhamid Abaaoud, was believed to be hiding out.
Paris Prosecutor Francois Molins revealed that police pumped 5,000 rounds of ammo into the apartment in a shootout with terrorists, and likewise chucked in grenades, leaving the building riddled with bullet holes and with windows blown out, reports Reuters.
Police arrested eight suspects in the raid, and at least two terrorists died - one female terrorist blew herself up with a suicide belt and another terrorist was killed in the onslaught.
A third suspect is thought to have died in the attack as well, and intelligence officials told Washington Post the third suspect was none other than Abaaoud. DNA tests are seeking to confirm his identity.
The lack of French "restraint" is all the more ironic ...

Not that they wouldn't do the job but with this level of threat they might want to upgrade to something capable of accepting electronic sights, scopes, lasers, etc.

That is a great photo. I’m surprised they don’t have rifles though knowing they are going into a fight.

Is it Germany? France? America? Canada? Australia? GB?
Is it right wingers? Is it left wingers?
Is it Christians who are all pro-Israel? Is it atheists? Is it all the other religions that now live in ‘the West?”
All Westerners are the same like all Middle Easterners are the same. If I really wanted to be a jerk about it I’d say I question the double standard of Middle Easterners killing anyone who disagrees that their religion is peaceful.
I don’t question the double standard. It’s there. It’s real. It’s to be dealt with. I feel no sangfroid vis a vis Paris. It merely infuriates me that they are so shameless or perhaps unconscious of their habitual use of it.
Neither do I question the fact that Islam is not in the least peaceful. It’s a warrior religion whose adherents believe it is their manifest destiny to conquer and subdue, to kill the heathen wherever he is found and humiliate the people of the book. In modern times they have come to believe that the Jooo! people of the book are involved in an evil conspiracy to not submit to humiliation, but instead humiliate Moslems, who are very susceptible to humiliation, and that Christians who are aiding and abetting this nefarious plot deserve to die, too. Peaceful? Ha. Dubya was engaging in counter-Taqiyya when he described Islam as a religion of piece.
In various coverage, I saw a 12 gauge shotgun, lots of smallish 9mm pistolas, many FAMAS bullpups in 5.56, and a few Mini-14’s. The bullpups can spit out over 1000 rounds per minute in full auto, which is fine for storming buildings, laying down suppressive fire, etc. For a successful aimed shot at a terrorist’s noggin, which would you rather have?
Let’s hope the French police have snipers we didn’t see, armed with appropriate hardware.

America, Canada, EU. They have basically Greco-Roman culture, with Hebrew influence added via Christianity.
Even fanatical atheists and communists who swear they hate everything about the West and especially Christianity are really Western. They are rejecting Western conclusions, but are so immersed in Western paradigms that they cannot see past them.
Who is pro-West? These days most Jews. In former years, post-Ataturk Turkey and Iran under the Shah. Modern Japan and China. But that is different than saying Western.
That’s about 455 rounds per perp. Here the liberals want to restrict us to about 5 rounds. WTF?
