SLC is much more liberal than the rest of Utah, just as SF &LA are much more liberal than the rest of California, and Seattle is much more liberal than the rest of Washington state.

Cities breed liberalism, which is why I believe cities are destructive to the freedom and self-reliance that forms conservatism. In cities, people get used to giving up their liberties in the name of cooperation, and they get used to any perverse behavior because they see it so often. Cities are naturally hellholes of socialism and perverse behavior.

Guess I learned something. I always assumed SLC was a conservative Mormon enclave. Is there a major city that hasn't been taken over by the left?
