I have an old ham radio buddy who lives in Crest (east of El Cajon, CA). He just learned that a few "refugees" were getting sent to El Cajon. The area is already heavily populated with Chaldean Christians from Iraq. There are sections of downtown with businesses labeled only in Arabic. El Cajon is where one of the 9-11-2001 hijackers lived. The other one was in Clairemont. They attended the mosque at Balboa and I-805 (Chargers Blvd). It would be very easy for the muzzies to blend in. The Chaldeans would be able to spot them more readily than most of the native San Diego population.
Yet another reason to be happily away from San Diego. We have muzzies in town in Pocatello at Idaho State University. The numbers are small. Mostly college kids with exceptionally wealthy backgrounds.

Many years ago I used to play golf once a year at the Singing Hills Golf Course east of El Cajon and a mile or two from Crest.
At that time (before Operation Desert Storm) I don’t recall any Iraqis or ME people in the area but times change quickly. It’s a beautiful area and the course was great also, sorry to hear how the area has changed.
