Oh lord....

Sister used to teach Public HS in the woods up in NE GA.
Half of her class lived in trailers and the girls had coach & MK purses, but parents didn’t have enough $$ for electricity and in some cases lunch.

Do the math there.

"My grandma always said, 'Life is not about what happens to you, but what you do about what happens to you.'

Wonder which grandma?

If it was the street-walking Clinton grandma, I doubt she could utter a complete sentence. Little Hitlery has learned the black art of lying well from her evil mother.

Poor Chelsea. She never knew Grandpa Clinton, but then neither did her grandma.

Women have always known how to grow and reap the fruit of the land, some much better than others. Some never learned from their own mothers, and some was simply forgotten.

It is oppression and suppression of knowledge that creates most famines, by not allowing the female gender to forage the land to acquire that great necessity of life, food in some form, and present it to the other members of the family, or clan, or tribe, or larger assemblages of folk.

“We need to be sure to help small farmers around the world get access to what is needed to grow food, so they can have the same opportunities to be successful as the larger farmers,” said Clinton. “Investing in and empowering women is the smart thing to do.””

Yes, by all means. Let’s help Chelsea to help the opium poppy farmers throughout the Middle East to invest in and empower their women.

The only hungry people in this country are those forced to eat Mooochelle Obama’s lunches.

It’s hard to see how the system of Royalty ever worked to begin with.

It seems powerful people nearly always sire idiots.

Clinton stressed women farmers also need to be leaders and help others learn how to grow crops.

Because no one know more about farming than the Clinton family.

//but by giving women the same access to growing and marketing food as men have around the world, hunger issues can decrease. (snip)//

BS. I am a woman farmer, considered “small farm” (less than 2k acres) and we don’t want to be coddled. We are just as active and fucntional in the market as men. We don’t need or want special treatment. It will not affect the outcome as far as ‘hunger’ nor are we held back. Over the last 30 years women have made great strides on our own in farming (not selling the farms but actively farming now) and resent being used as a liberal talking point.

Also, regarding ‘small farms’ it takes a lot of money and has a thin profit margin to farm (much thinner than most businesses). If you don’t have several million in land and equipment you won’t make it past a couple of years farming. Its a bit of a thankless profession.

but with the empowerment of women and teaching women how to grow food

That’s is a great statement! Who would guess? Teaching women how to poke a seed into dirt and to water it.

The absolute stupidity of it all is that in 20 years the entire population of the earth will at least double and the available land to plant crops will probably diminish by about 10%.

40 years from now the population will have doubled once again and the land to plant crops may fall another 10%.

POPULATION CONTROL...NOT EMPOWERING WOMEN TO PLANT SEEDS is the only answer.

Chelsea’s looks are not the issue. Her naivete is. Look at what has happened to Zimbabwe, the bread basket of Africa. Whatever we give to help those people ends up in the hands of oppressive and ruthless dictators. Might as well pour it down a rat hole.
