Is it truly a 1st Amendment matter when a a so-called “religion” teaches the overthrow of government?

While A1 defends relision and speech, it does not outlaw the monitoring of such in a manner to determine the end-game.

Put the FBI in mosques.

Something for the soft spoken Imams to think about anyway.

Certainly close any mosque associated with an attack. On deck for closing, any mosque where rhetoric encourages terror, and a final for closure, any mosque funded by external funding sources.

Probably is with this administration, yet they would come after any of us who preached a coup against Zero.

The answer is that Islam is a unique 'religion' - and should not be covered by the First Amendment.
People should have the right to worship as they please, but a quick perusal through the holy books of Islam shows the reader that this is an exhortation to convert, enslave, or kill those who refuse to join its club. Exhortations to convert is fine -- enslave or kill are abominations. No other religion (none that I know) preaches the latter. Islam is a wicked political movement whose design is to destroy the host that it infects.
Of course this does not deserve First Amendment protection. The Brits had a similar problem with the Thuggee cult in India, and they dealt with it appropriately.

The Constitution is a social contract among "We the People" in which "We the People" agree to abide by its terms in constituting and obeying its terms. One of those terms is the First Amendment that Islamists refuse to respect. They instead intend to negate that contract with Sharia. Hence, they are NOT participants in that contract and therefore do not enjoy or deserve its protections.

It’s certainly a 1st amendment matter when the “religion” is a coercive state-establishment: Like ISIS/Sharia.

“ERRORS CEASING TO BE DANGEROUS WHEN IT IS PERMITTED FREELY TO _________ THEM”

Fill in the blank and think about why the founders of the American Republic wisely prohibited state-establishments like ISIS/Sharia/and Others in their 1st amendment and protected the 1st with the 2nd.

Islam is not a religion.

It is a death cult.

Thus, no worries about the First Amendment.
