What is the point of mentioning that they were “white” men?

She would not, of course, fear black men carrying guns openly. She is attempting to initiate a racial stereotype that is contrary to fact.

What is the point of mentioning that they were "white" men? She had to point out that they were white so none of her friends would think she is racist.

"What is the point of mentioning that they were âwhiteâ men?" Because everybody knows that white dudes carry stainless steel guns with barrels maybe 3-3 1/2" long. Anyone in the know knows that a black or blued firearm with a 4-6" barrel is much more scary and is capable of greater penetration.
