What's so hard about understanding the goal of brining the entire world into submission to islam?
Think of the Christian desire to get everyone "saved," and you have the idea.

It isn’t the same, or comparable on any level. Islam is about submission. You can submit, or you can die. They don’t care what you believe. People who follow Christ spread the gospel, because a tenet of the faith is for everyone to hear the “good news”. People can then make their own choices, once they have heard the news. It is called proselytizing, to talk about your faith to others (presumably in hopes of converting them). Furthermore, islam is not a religion. It has a religious factor, but islam is a political system.
