Germany, specifically Merkel, deserves no respect for what they/she has wrought upon Europe. She needs to be gone. The other nations need to show Germany how it is done.
You know nobody ever brings up the fact that Merkel is the first East German chancellor of Germany since reunification. When you look at her record you could make the argument that she is Europe’s Trojan horse, an old unreformed Commie sent to bring down the continent starting with its strongest most stable country. Reagan had his Thatcher, OBama has Merkel. Just saying.
