Trump unexpectedly cancels press availability
Washington Examiner ^ | 11/13/15 | Gabby Morrongiello

Donald Trump played it safe Friday at the 2015 Sunshine Summit, focusing his remarks on immigration and foreign policy instead of continuing his criticism of Ben Carson, and cancelling a press conference shortly after leaving the stage.

The Republican presidential hopeful made no mention of Carson during his speech despite releasing an ad targeting the retired neurosurgeon just hours prior. Within minutes of concluding his remarks and leaving the stage, Trump's campaign notified a crowded room of reporters he would no longer be available for a Q&A.

Trump's campaign did not provide a reason for the last-minute cancellation, but the GOP candidate took the stage Friday less than an hour after news broke of a series of terror attacks in Paris, France.

Carson, a retired neurosurgeon who's surpassed Trump as the GOP front-runner both nationally and in key early primary states, was scheduled to speak at the same gathering of Florida Republicans immediately after Trump.

Due to the two candidates back-to-back remarks, dozens of reporters missed several minutes of Carson's speech while waiting for Trump to arrive in the briefing room.

The events in Paris help Trump. Who can argue about the need to secure our border now?

Probably not employing, just figuring out how to blame Paris in Ben Carson.

I’m thinking this leaves Cruz and Trump. The others are toast now.

Trump is surging to 42% amongst likely primary Republican voters.

There’s a safe MD Senate seat waiting for Carson. Why would he want to run for President?

To expand on my last post. It will bolster Trump’s campaign more than any other candidate from either party. It’s more of his issue than anyone else and he is seen with the most gravitas and credibility than anyone else on the issue of national security.

What did they want to ask him?

Are you imploding?

How do you explain your 95 minute tirade in Iowa?

Do you think Iowans will still vote for you after you called them stupid?

He’s smart to avoid them.

I am a Trump supporter and I do not believe he’s praying for anyone in France, simply due to his admitted lax understanding of Christ. He attends, rarely, a PCUSA (which endorses gay marriage) church and thinks holding a Bible someone gave you shows you’re a Christian.

He can’t understand being “born again,” as anyone with a bad past ‘should be locked up forever’ (Ben Carson).

He thinks others are absolute terrible examples of Christian behavior, while he’s completely incapable of not only keeping his word, but his vow.

And I’m a Trump supporter, despite this, at this time.

“What about the families what about the children” doesn’t work nearly as well as it did in 2001.
