I think that was a kidnapping plot centered around an Iraqi Muslim terrorist now in jail in Norway. There was an Italian and UK aspect to the plot. Think they wanted to kidnap UK diplomats in order to free various Islamic terrorists.

I think the Italians broke up the plot to free the Norwegian mad mullah. But obviously Europe is not really united in this fight.
