Congress hates Cruz. They will not work with him and the media will be in lock step with them. Congress and the media will trash him 24/7.
Your phone calls won’t work because there won’t be another election for two years. They haven’t listened to us yet and they won’t magically start then.
The only way he could overcome it would be with a massive mandate and we both know that just isn’t going to happen.
Cruz is polling in the second tier of the primary. If he should somehow win it he would either lose in the general or win by a small margin. He doesn’t have the crossover appeal to win in a landslide and have a huge mandate.
Trump has already proven he can handle the media and he has the guts to name names and tell everyone where the bodies are buried with Congress. As he says, he knows how to negotiate. He also has the crossover appeal to win by enough to have a mandate.
The only way I see us winning is Trump/Cruz. Let Trump bulldoze the place and then Cruz can build it back the way it’s supposed to be.
Cruz has not even taken 10% of what Trump has in the national media, and he would be destroyed as the candidate. The guy creeps people out, I’m sorry.
Cruz has proven he has more guts than anybody. He didn’t get Congress to hate him by accident. He didn’t care what they said about him. He took out the establishment’s pick in the Texas primary and called out his own party for their backroom dealings and misleading the voters with show votes. If that’s not guts in terms of politics, I don’t know what is. Trump’s “courage” was in donating to both parties so everyone would owe him something. Not the same thing and not very applicable to being President.
When it comes for Cruz to make good on the promises he made in the campaign, there is no way a Republican Congress can defy him. If you think the Republicans are going to refuse to repeal Obamacare when their own President wants it repealed, you’re crazy. Or refuse to enforce the border and deport illegals. They would be thrown out of office in short order. Winning and defeating Hillary is all the mandate anyone needs even if it’s by 1 vote.
No one is an expert predictor on how the election will turn out next year. You can speculate all you want but those aren’t facts. My prediction is Hillary loses no matter who we nominate. The media and the RINO establishment thinks she’s the hottest thing since sliced bread but anyone close to the grass roots of this country knows she’s a dog.
