The FBI has expanded its probe of Hillary Clinton's emails, with agents exploring whether multiple statements violate a federal false statements statute, according to intelligence sources familiar with the ongoing case.
Fox News is told agents are looking at U.S. Code 18, Section 1001, which pertains to "materially false" statements given either in writing, orally or through a third party. Violations also include pressuring a third party to conspire in a cover-up. Each felony violation is subject to five years in prison.
This phase represents an expansion of the FBI probe, which is also exploring potential violations of an Espionage Act provision relating to "gross negligence" in the handling of national defense information.
"The agents involved are under a lot of pressure and are busting a--," an intelligence source, who was not authorized to speak on the record, told Fox News.

The section of the criminal code being explored is known as "statements or entries generally," and can be applied when an individual makes misleading or false statements causing federal agents to expend additional resources and time. In this case, legal experts as well as a former FBI agent said, Section 1001 could apply if Clinton, her aides or attorney were not forthcoming with FBI agents about her emails, classification and whether only non-government records were destroyed.

Separately, two U.S. government officials told Fox News that the FBI is doing its own classification review of the Clinton emails, effectively cutting out what has become a grinding process at the State Department. Under Secretary for Management Patrick Kennedy has argued to both Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and Congress that the "Top Secret" emails on Clinton's server could have been pulled from unclassified sources including news reports.

I agree that this is the probable outcome. And the investigation could easily be stretched out to mid 2017.
But in the long run, if this is indeed buried by Obama, the damage to our intelligence agencies will be immense. Of course that would probably be considered a secondary benefit by our idiot President.
Having just done a classification review last month, this SHOULD be easy. It won’t be.
Does anyone who has been following these hearings of the Clinton Cartel since the 1990s find that there intelligence is just being insulted by all of these new investigations?

The FBI is not doing anything. They are just using the old under investigation”guise to stall. FBI refuses to comment regarding there is an investigation. Look at how the Democrat leaders are fighting tooth and nail to save Hillary.
They aren’t.
That speaks volumes.
They are scared to death of what she has done.
They don’t want to get tied to a traitor.
The people being paid to protect Hillary are putting out some stories, but there’s no real enthusiasm in them.
Even the staunchest Democrats are starting to understand that Hillary Clinton is just a lying, thieving, dirty little snot.
A thorough investigation and extent of the crimes will give Obama cover to let the DOJ do its job. Jarrett may very well tell him to thrown her under the bus. Biden is in position to step in as a perceived third term and will not have to get bloodied by Hillary in a primary fight. She would be eviscerating him right now if she perceived him as a threat.

No one is talking about the NRC or NNSA meeting either (unless they relinquished that criminal investigation to the FBI (doubtful)).
Clinton, reportedly also violated some "Q-clearance" in addition to her NORFORN, TS, TS-SCI, TK, and other diplomatic SIGINT messages.

IMHO, this case can go either way...all to be decided by the Bamster. The decision will be based upon his best bet to put a DIM back in the WHin 2016. If he thinks the Hildabeast can survive, she’ll get off. Right now it looks like she’ll get the nomination, but might struggle in the general. If it looks like she’s going down in the general to Trump, Cruz, or Rubio, then Hildy will be indicted. They can always put forward Uncle Joe and/or Fauxcohontas later in the process or at the convention. With Bam’s track record of lawlessness, he would not be averse to breaking/changing a few little piddling primary or convention rules!

This is a person who openly lies and gets away with it. Even if they find her guilty what are they going to do? 40% of this country will vote for the liar and in the election she will start out with over 200 electoral votes before we even get our first state in.
