I really don't care what you ‘personally’ think...I have seen him and read about the things he has said, and this fits him to a ‘T’....if you can't accept that, that's your problem....

Trump said he had patholicial tenancies, and guess what...everything he has said, is the definitions of what I posted....

This doesn't hurt Trump, he knows what he is talking about, the problem is that Ben Carson doesn't know what he is talking about....two different things....

The things Trump says are straight out of Carson’s book. That isn’t bad mouthing when one questions the things written in his autobiography. Some of you need to have a little more discernment about people. Sure, the media attacked Carson - it attacks all Republicans - unless your name is Bush. They want him to run against Hillary - she would beat him like a drum.No one is saying a word about Carson’s achievements - he has done some amazing things in his field - but we shouldn’t stick our head in the sand when things don’t add up either.

I was referring to that particular FReeper's misstatements and depth of vitriol, not to Trump's comments. I have no problem with vetting the candidate fairly; and as I noted, I am a Trump supporter due to Trump's wider range of experience and capabilities, despite having been acquainted with Dr. Carson for nearly 20 years. The rest of my comments speak for themselves. I see no need to roll in the gutter to defame any of the Republicans in the race, who will continue to be our allies and possible members of Trump's team after the nomination.

It does not help any of the other major candidates, Free Republic or ourselves as posters to spew inaccurate and vile character assassinations of our allies online. All that does is give ammunition to the enemies of the Republic.

Apparently not. Pity. You'll miss out.

Carson is complex. He too often conflicts with his own positions or his own words. Always battling. I just don’t get his popularity other than his seemingly mild and calm speeches. He apparently appeals to many. I think he’ll fade out as the race tightens. I hope so.

Miss out on what? HarleyLady27 posted some information which could be beneficial. It never hurts to keep an open mind. I have some serious doubts myself about Carson’s experiences - we can’t all be wrong. This takes nothing away from what he has done in the medical field. But, 2 and 2 just doesn’t add up to 4 in many areas. We are allowed to post our ideas, thoughts and opinions on this site - within the framework of what is acceptable. Maybe you should look a little deeper at some of these things. We have been fooled way too many times in the past, to just let everything go without question.

I’m sure the person against whom I lodged these objections can fight her own battles. I have already agreed with you that vetting the candidates is necessary and proper.

The problem I was addressing was another poster’s hysterical overkill and unnecessary vitriol, embroidering the media’s innuendos until they sound like an Inquisition, and piling on with manipulative and false information. None of that is a benefit to our side.

If you’re not guilty, don’t get involved.
