As someone about Trumps age, I find it easy to believe his explanation as to why he’s running.
I’ve agonized over the America we are leaving for my own children and grandchildren to live in and raise their families in. Most Freepers here probably feel the same way.
America hardly resembles the one I grew up in. It’s but a shadow of its former self, with freedoms, successes, and with respect from our friends, and fear of us by our enemies, all but non-existent.
Trump said he was running so that his family wouldn’t look at him, knowing he could have fixed it, but didn’t.
His own story of building the Trump Organization shows that he knows how to build great empires. Now he wants to make all of America great again.
I think we are but the lucky side beneficiaries.
I believe every word of that. That makes more sense than anything else I’ve heard about the man.

My biggest fear is that my grandchildren will grow up to live in a country where English is a second language and they won’t have any religious freedom.
