I’m sure he intends to use it, but for some reason isn’t mentioning it directly. With Operation Wetback, 25% were deported and the rest self-deported.

"...A third-generation Mexican-American..."

What is a "Mexican-American"?

Not to mention just announcing you are going to start deportation will get rid of a lot of them. When AZ was ready to implement their immigration law the illegals were fleeing in droves. The same thing happened here in GA. We still have a lot of them though that need to go.

Nearly ALL drywall workers are now illegals from South of the US border. No big deal, except when you figure there is need of over 50 per every county in the country. How about painters, landscapers, carpenters, roofers, and general labor? Figure out other so called “jobs that citizens won’t do”, and you have millions out of work.

The announcement under Eisenhower’s program, and then the beginning of the campaign combined to have far more illegals decide on their own to return.

The same as you experienced in Arizona, many leave when they see the handwriting on the wall.

Trump says they can then apply to come back legally. They have to get in line the way they should have in the first place. There is nothing inhumane in all of that.

As always, it is our anchor baby law that throws this off. It is a terrible law. It needs to be changed.

Not only did one judge destroy the will of the people of the former state of California, but the Governor and State Attorney General refused to fight for the laws on their own books. Such was the case in Kentucky where the town clerk was enforcing the marriage law of Kentucky, but Kentucky’s Gov. and AG refused to enforce same. We see how that all worked out - Now let’s see what Bevin does.

I agree. Plus we may not get rid of all the illegals but if Trump can get rid of half of them or more and build a wall to keep others out I will not gripe about it.

First build the wall then no plane is needed, simply bus them to the border, put $100 in their pocket to get home and barricade the wall with automatic weapons if necessary! When the crying an wailing starts go on the air and ask the American people if they care that these gang bangers, murders and moochers want to come back or not! If they do let them apply to be sponsors responsible for their welfare for 5 years. No welfare, no S.S. nothing from the American taxpayer!!! Let’s see how many will sign up for that, good luck to them!

Not with a wall, deportations, and punishing employers that hire them. Your ‘arguments’ are silly liberal crap. Nonsensical

Enforcing employer sanctions will work, at least as to a lot of illegals. (Many work off the books and will continue to, but the ones that are on a payroll will self-deport if e-check and employer sanctions are rigorously enforced.) But you didn't talk about that-- you were talking about taxing remittances, which won't work.

I didn’t say a word about taxing remittances-you responded to the wrong post, I guess.

Yes, making such employers following the law - including fines or jail time if they are caught paying anyone under the table - is a great incentive.
