The U.S. Navy said it launched a second -- and final -- missile in a planned exercise Monday afternoon from a submarine off the Southern California coast.

Interestingly enough I’ve been working in CA since ‘99, and this launch was the first time I’ve heard my (native Californian) friends talking about such a thing. Doesn’t make me feel very comfortable considering the idiot we have as president.

The article above reports this launch as an annual test for the Trident, which is tested off both the coast of Florida and California. It didn’t say how many years this has been occurring.

Maybe 'sending a message' is the wrong expression. More correctly would be 'create an effect.' Is there any doubt that Obama plays mind games on citizens? His primary concern is not dominance over foreign powers. His goal is to weaken U.S. sovereignty and erode American's sense of independence in preparation for the New Marxist Muslim World Order. I think this exercise is part in a series of cryptic effects ultimately aimed at bringing that about.
