As a matter of fact, yes, I listened....LIVE, as he was saying this.
I even made the point, at the time, that I’d not seen the likes of Rush, Hannity or Levin come out in such combined force for others who’ve been similarly attacked. Sporadic support, yes, but not the united support these three came out with, for Carson, on Friday.
Because it is a coordinated hit job. They have both defended Trump from some of this as well. I have listened to it and read it.
As far as Hannity goes, he actually had Carson on live, on Friday, shortly after this all blew up. It’s an interesting interview and I’ll give Carson credit for wanting to get out ahead of this thing. At a certain portion of the interview though Hannity directly asked Carson, “did you meet with Westmoreland?”
Carson’s reply was “intriguing” to say the least. He answered “I very well may have”. I’m sorry but you either did or you didn’t, (unless words don’t really mean things) I don’t care how many big names you may have met with at the time (as he went on to explain why he doesn’t specifically remember meeting with Westmoreland) you would remember meeting with HIM, especially as just an ROTC (I don’t care how much your “star was rising” at the time).
As I said on another thread: *shrug* What are ya gonna do? If one is happy believing it’s ok to say one is “offered a full scholarship” when in fact all we know is that he *might* have been told something “similar”, well again, what more is there to say? I wouldn’t care either if there wasn’t an apparent pattern of, shall we say, “exaggeration”.
But the Great One has spoken, so I guess it’s time to move on.
