Stupid and inconsistent statement. Does Levine apply that standard to ALL the GOP candidates then? I think not. Levine never has defended Yeb because the leftist media attacked him, did he?
In fact, does that mean we now can’t support ANY GOP candidate who says anything negative about any other GOP candidate, if the leftist media attacks them, because after all, ALL of them are attacked by the leftist media at one time or another? That would mean ALL GOP candidates get total immunity from criticism from non-leftist since they are ALL attacked by leftist media.
However, I think Levine really means to apply his immunity standard ONLY to Gentle “Lying King†Carson.

Valid point. But can’t we resolve the slander against Carson and give him a breather first?
It's very true that Obama should have been investigated more thoroughly, we all know that. But Carson is beginning to sound like a teller of very tall tales, and that's not good.

Just today, I saw where Carson's mother was interviewed back in the 1990s, I think, and she corroborated the stabbing attempt. So, you have his mother who knew him the best, in print, corroborating his version of the event.

I usually like Levin but apparently he’s not done his homework on Carson. The homework would show Carson has more in common with democrats than he does republicans. He is definitely no conservative. His worldview is like a child’s. He reminds of Forrest Gump, but not as smart.
Sometimes you must allow events to take their course.

Carson asks the media why they never investigated Obama’s past. He’s right but takes away his own argument about his past. We don’t need another mystery president. It’s called vetting.
Let’s do both. I’d rather be confident that Carson is telling the truth, than find out later that he was telling tall tales to make himself look better, Surely we have had enough experience with liars than to want another one in office. We need to thoroughly vet ALL candidates and let the chips fall where they may.
Carson has no right to get angry with someone seeking the truth.
Looks to me like Carson’s campaign SCROOOOOD-UP by confirming that this was untrue.
If so Dr. Carson needs to role some heads on his staff.
I know of no circumstance where Trump has made an unfounded accusation against Carson.

I am aware he has done nothing to dissuade the MSM in their frenzy...and has even played to their proclivities.
But I am aware of nothing, nothing that could be remotely described as character assassination.
Show me even one lamestream media outlet attacking Ben Carson over any of these things. And who says he's untouchable? That's not what Levin said.
Glad to see I’m not the only one wondering about Mark’s “all in” defense of Carson. I get that he’s not happy with the treatment - the barrage of MSM “scoops” on Carson. But, as you’ve pointed out...Mark needs to do a thorough analysis of Carson’s positions.

I think he is talking about the recent CNN/Politico hit job where they are calling into question his West Point/angry-young-man/stabbing story from his autobiography.
