I don’t think we are considering what will be happening in the future months before the election either.
For example, when Trump announced, he made very strong statements about building the wall and illegal immigration. He followed that up with a rally in Arizona, I believe, with the same strong arguments about illegal immigration.
The media went nuts and tried crucifying him for it and then Kate was murdered by an illegal that should have been deported.
All of the sudden the media had no argument. Trump was right and everyone agreed.
Another example is Christie with his Obama hug in the 2012 election. Mitt was polling high and it looked like smooth sailing. But then the hurricane hit and we saw pictures everywhere of Christie hugging Obama. I’m not saying this caused Mitt to lose but it did not help him win either.
Trump definitely has his finger on the pulse of the news cycle and I think this will help him. He will either be the first to respond to the news in a way that will help him or he will foresee the news and get on top of it.
Remember his comments about Osama Bin Laden and domestic terror in the book he wrote way before 9/11 happened.
I meant to ping you all to my post #87 to LS
I agree with both of your posts. Thanks...
