SNL is not funny anymore. TV is not funny anymore. Feminism and political correctness have destroyed 'comedy'. I Love Lucy shows? STILL funny. Carol Burnett show? STILL funny. Once the difference of the sexes is lost and females assume the role of males there is no contrast anymore. Comedy on TV is history.
There were funny moments with Trump, and he skillfully made himself more human and flexible, less rigid. Brilliant move by Trump and SNL knew what he would bring so they treated him fairly. The Drake video, 'Call me on the cellphone' was good for a chuckle.

Caroll Burnett .... the best part (it's ALL good, but the BEST part .. ) is the imptomptu performances (especially Tim Conway) the uncontrollable crackups on stage
THOSE times drew all viewing America up on stage WITH them and they allowed us to be part of the performance
Genius !

The funniest thing I saw on TV last night was the second episode of Ash vs. Evil Dead. It may be a bit violent/crude for you. I don’t know. I love the shows of the era you mentioned—I’m particularly partial to Leave It To Beaver, which is a lifelong favorite.
