Citing Climate Change, Obama Rejects Construction of Keystone XL Oil Pipeline

WASHINGTON — President Obama announced on Friday that he had rejected the request from a Canadian company to build the Keystone XL oil pipeline, ending a seven-year review that had become a symbol of the debate over his climate policies.

Mr. Obama’s denial of the proposed 1,179-mile pipeline, which would have carried 800,000 barrels a day of carbon-heavy petroleum from the Canadian oil sands to the Gulf Coast, comes as he seeks to build an ambitious legacy on climate change.

“America is now a global leader when it comes to taking serious action to fight climate change,” Mr. Obama said in remarks from the White House. “And, frankly, approving this project would have undercut that global leadership.”

A pipeline made of inert material is more polluting than tankers, trains and trucks actively burning fuel in order to transport?

Apart from ideology, the problem with this president is he has led such a sheltered life he literally doesn’t understand the most basic of processes. He’s never built a birdhouse, installed a mailbox, mowed a lawn, or cooked a meal. He is a purely political creature, kept under glass under it’s time to give a speech on a topic he knows nothing about except what he has been told by more equally clueless, detached people.

This White House learned its lesson long ago: they can’t allow this president to be photographed doing normal things - riding a bike, throwing a baseball - because he looks so abnormal doing them.

No.

Obama knows exactly what he's doing. He wants to destroy Western civilization --particularly the leading hegemon (1), the United States.

This is pure Marxism. Obama is a Marxist.

I think he and his fellow travelers were waiting until the price of oil has been depressed for a while to make this announcement. The NY AG suing Exxon is also part of their plan. Coordinated efforts. Yes they are out of control, but they are working together to destroy the one industry that has been holding up our economy for the last couple of years. Also allowing Iran to dump their oil on the open market is another part of this.
