As Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson defends his past descriptions of receiving a scholarship offer for the US Military Academy at West Point, new doubts have been on his past, including a story of how he sheltered white classmates during Detroit race riots. Carson blasted the media on Friday after several reports questioned the validity of his book, Gifted Hands, but the presidential hopeful told the press that they were being unfair and he felt like the victim of a ‘witch hunt’.
Questions about Carson's assertions about his personal history, including his claim that he was a troubled youth beset at times by violent behavior, and his inaccurate pronouncements about historical events have gained attention as he has risen to the top of some national polls.
'I think what it shows, and these kinds of things show, is there is a desperation on behalf of some to try to find a way to tarnish me,' Carson said no Friday night during a news conference outside West Palm Beach. 'Because they have been looking through everything,' he added. 'They have been talking to everyone I have ever known and everybody I have ever seen. There has got to be a scandal.'
He told reporters, 'My job is to call you out when you're unfair, and I'm going to continue to do that.'
The most recent story under question is a harrowing tale he told last month of protecting his white high school classmates the day after Dr Martin Luther King Jr was assassinated in 1968. Violent race riots hit the neurosurgeon-turned-politician’s predominantly black Southwestern High School in Detroit. Carson, who was a junior lab assistant with a key to the school’s biology lab, sheltered his frightened friends from violence by bringing them into the workroom, he told the Wall Street Journal.

A lot of stuff I’ve read recently, I never believed before, but you wonder why the Bushes and Clintons would be so cozy. Jebbie gives Hillary an award and Jebbie and George Jr consider Bill a brother. And Bush Sr. acts like Clinton is another son. There’s the other two sons, Marvin and especially Neil (Silvarado Savings & Loan), you wonder what’s really been going on with the Bushes and Clintons.
You don’t hear the Bushes say anything bad about the Clintons. And as bad as Obama has been for this country, George W. never says anything about Obama, but he sure doesn’t mind saying thins about Ted Cruz.

Why don’t you do your own homework because there have been lies posted daily and discussed at massive length. Mannatech, Pyramid idiocy, Scholarships that do not exist, stabbings and hammers. Pick one.
I imagine it was the Clintons to hurt Trump. I think it was a telephone conversation where Clinton was hoping Trump wouldn't run. I really don't have a problem with the call. Evidently Trump gave money to the foundation and to lots of politicians, Republicans and Dems.
But I can't see why everyone acts like the phone call is a big deal, yet the Bushes and Clintons are very cozy. Jebbie even gives Hillary an award. You would think if one phone call is a big a deal, why won't they ask George Jr. and Jebbie about their relationship with Bill as another brother. That makes Hillary a sister-in-law. Much bigger than a phone call.

Yes they do. Not only is their ability to discuss and communicate greatly under developed, so is their knowledge of conservatism. It provides an opportunity to educate them, as frustrating as it is.

The reporter really worked hard on this story, interviewing 6 people before drawing a conclusion. Wow, what a tough job.
