ACLU: As a Matter of Science, Biologically Male Transgender is ‘A Girl Through and Through’
CNS ^ | November 5, 2015 | Sam Dorman

Posted on 11/06/2015 10:10:37 AM PST by xzins

An American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) lawyer representing a biologically male transgender student in Illinois says that his client should be allowed to shower in the girls’ locker room because "as a matter of science," he is “a girl through and through”.

Although the Palatine-Schaumberg Township High School District 211 allows transgender students to use locker rooms of the gender they identify with, it requires them to use private shower stalls or changing areas so as not to appear naked in the company of the opposite sex.

The student filed a complaint with the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Civil Rights (OCR), which ordered the school district to provide the transgender teen with full access to the girls' locker room or risk the loss of federal Title IX funding, which bans sex discrimination.

In a statement, the district said that it will “continue to provide private accommodations for transgender students to ensure a respectful school environment, and will not allow unrestricted access to its locker rooms as directed by OCR. The goal of the District in this matter is to protect the privacy rights of all students when changing clothes or showering before or after physical education and after-school activities.”

The school district’s superintendent, Dr. Daniel Cates, told Fox News host Megyn Kelly Tuesday night that he had received complaints from parents and female students who were concerned that their privacy was being violated by having biological members of the opposite sex in the locker room while they were changing.

But in a recent blog post, John Knight, LGBT director for the ACLU of Illinois, argues that Cates’ claim that his client is biologically male is offensive and scientifically inaccurate.

“Most damaging,” he writes, “the superintendent asserts that a girl who is transgender has a ‘male body’ and that transgender students are ‘of the opposite sex’ when defending the District’s position.

“Such assertions are wrong as a matter of science and offensive because they serve to challenge and undermine the very core of a person’s identity. A transgender girl is female. She is a girl through and through – not something in between as the District suggests.

“And although unnecessary to make a transgender person ‘really female’ or ‘really male,’ many transgender young people, including my client, have undergone medical interventions to conform their body to their gender.”

“And the only reason it is erect while showering with the girls is the fact that she is a lesbian to boot.”

There is a psychiatrist at Johns Hopkins University who has studied for decades individuals who have what he calls an “assumption disorder” who “identify” as the opposite sex. He draws an analogy with those, mainly bulimic girls, who look in a mirror and “see” someone who is fat when in reality they are of normal weight. The psychiatrist also says that the vast majority of males with this disorder are still sexually attracted to females not because they are lesbians but because nothing biologically fundamental is altered by surgical mutilation.

It’s cute when lawyers try to be scientists.

Biologically, Transgendered females possess only the XX chromosome, making them biologically male through and through.

How many morons in your average court of law know this?

Not many, I suppose.

The flat Earth myth is so widespread there is no hope. I hear pastors regularly make reference to it and when I ask Christian church people everyone accepts the myths. No wonder because they are still in textbooks and repeated as common sense fact everywhere. Drives me crazy but then this current generation is as ignorant as any other in history about history and reality.

“possess only the XX chromosome, making them biologically male through and through.”

Are you using that common core genetics?

Of course it’s ignorant, but it’s also delusional. It implies a detachment from reality.

Thank you for referencing that article xzins. Please bear in mind that the following critique is directed at the article and not at you.

”The student filed a complaint with the U.S. Department of Educations Office of Civil Rights (OCR), . . .”

FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponents Argument

If public schools were teaching students about the federal governments constitutionally limited powers like they should be, the misguided student and his likewise misguided legal advisor would know that the feds are actually powerless to help the student for the following reasons.

Not only have the states never delegated to the feds, expressly via the Constitution, the specific powers to regulate any aspect of INTRAstate public schooling, but the only sex-related issue that the the states have ever amended the Constitution to expressly protect, thus giving the feds the power to enforce, is voting rights as evidenced by the 19th Amendment.

In other words, regardless of FDR-era perversions of the Commerce Clause that the corrupt feds use as excuses to justify interfering with intrastate issues, the feds actually have no constitutionally enumerated authority to deal with sex-related issues outside the scope of voting rights imo.

The reason that the corrupt feds regularly stick their big noses into 10th Amendment-protected state issues is this imo. The corrupt, post-17th Amendment ratification Senate no longer does its job to protect the states as the Founding States had established the Senate to do. Instead, state sovereignty-ignoring senators now wrongly help the corrupt House to pass unconstitutonal bills steal 10th Amendment-protected state powers.

The ill-conceived 17th Amendment needs to disappear, and corrupt senators who hurt their states by helping to pass unconstitutional laws along with it.

FWIW, I remember from my days back in school in the 60’s our history books having PICTURES of the flat earth with waters falling off the edge and with (iirc) some kind of dragons or something off the edge waiting to further doom those who went off the edge of the earth.

We also had texts that taught a new ice age was coming.

And texts that clearly stated that life began in an ancient time when lightning struck a protein soup type body of water and the first cell began, and from it all other cells evolved.

The evolutionists deny such things ever were taught, but I distinctly remember it.

I also remember being taught that one of the fears of Columbus time was that they’d sail right off the edge of the earth.

OK ... lets talk about the presence of Y chromosomes.

Male chromosome or Y chromosome contains many genes determining various characteristics. It contains less genetic material when compared to X chromosome. Y chromosome also contains unique male genes which are absent on the X chromosome. One such gene is SRY gene in humans. However not all male specific genes are located on the Y chromosome. Some males are born as XXY, and they may show some female physiological characteristics. This disorder is known as Kleinefelter’s syndrome. Some males are born as XYY, and they are known as ‘super’ men usually showing very aggressive male behavior.

Yes. That is fine. In fact, I am already well aware of everything you wrote. However, you have changed the subject.

Your original post referenced checking the individual's "chromosome count".

The word "count" makes that analysis a quantitative one, while "talk[ing] about the presence of Y chromosomes", as mentioned in your latest post, requires a qualitative analysis.

I am happy to engage in either, but my post was in response to the quantitative nature of your original statement.

Males are “XY” (with occasional XXY and XYY aberrations).

Anyone with “XX” is a FEMALE though and through.
