And in more modern times there was Grozny. Flat out leveled WWII style. They used to be an image on the web. Showed a big 6 foot Russian standing in the back of a jeep. Looked like a mounted 50 caliber or bigger. Big Russian flag flapping out the back. Just being driven around probably shooting anything that moved. They scrubbed that many year ago. Impossible to find now on the web.
