That would have been the equivalent of $30 million smart bombs rolled out in probably $4k of Russian hardware.

Now that is how to eliminate jihadis. Cheap and quick

“I believe thats about 1940s technology”

There is something to be said for that. Specially since that is the last time someone had the balls put an end to pure evil.

I have done some Republican platform work up to and including the state level and I have friends who have served on the national platform committees. In doing so I have taken the time to read platforms of all stripes.

If you want an interesting exercise you can compare the RNC and DNC national platforms. The difference is incredibly stark. There is not one issue that both sides agree on. Anywhere.

During the Bush Administration, bipartisan lefties were complaining about civilians being killed by U.S. forces despite the use of our precision munitions. Now, they’re cheering the Russian tactic of incinerating women and kids without precision.

Thats all the tech needed. Shermans and Corsairs would do just fine in terror missions. People die the same way they always did.

I have for many years believed that the opposite of a liberal’s speech is the truth. In all things. To date that belief has never steered me wrong. Not a joke. I have lived by it in my personal life. ‘Regular’ liberals do it without fail. Whatever they say, they are wrong or Polarly wrong.

DITTO !

When was the last time the GOP actually followed their platform though? Thats the problem. They may as well have a copy of Archie Comics 845 sitting there in whatever outhouse they store it in. If they followed it none of ‘Obama” would have been allowed or funded.

If they just had a job their lives would be different. It’s only our white privilege that keeps them down. They need our compassion and forgiveness and yet, in our arrogance, we place our lives above our own....

I’m sorry. this is to upsetting for me to talk about. I need to go put on my onsie, make a cup of hot cocoa and talk with someone about Obamacare.

This has to stop. Those things could hurt someone! Is Putin trying to get sued?

Clearly we see the need for less damaging weapons that can kill terrorists without hurting them or resulting in their death.

Exactly. The Russian army is probably ill-equipped with JAGs. I bet we can lend them some of ours.

“Thats all the tech needed. Shermans and Corsairs would do just fine in terror missions. People die the same way they always did.”

And the cost savings would be tremendous. Why fire a $2 million missile at a $10 empty tent and hit a camel in the ass when you can go old school and kill the camel and the ten thousand jihadist that road in on it in the huka bar next door..

At any point in time, it has been easy to wipe out and defeat ISIS. The only question is how much collateral damage to civilians can be stomached. Putin can stomach a lot more than Obama. That is because Obama is illogical, sentimental, politically correct.

ISIS kills thousands of non-believers every week. So they are going to die anyway. The only question is whether ISIS will also die with them or not.

By killing ISIS (and civilians) Putin moves the region his direction.

Shouldn't Putin first of all have expressed his dismay that ISIS seems to be such meanies, followed by a statement of condemnation with clarification that all Muslims aren't terrorists?

Or maybe a threat to file a formal complaint with the United Nations?

Theres a lot of global warming going on.

Anyone notice the complete silence about the war’s effect on the environment since Shirtless Vlad and the Wonderbears went on tour?

More proof econuts are frauds. Apparently only American war is a problem for Ma Earf.

People always complain about that. Bob Dole was asked, when he was running for president, if he was going to read the RNC platform and he said, **Who reads a platform?**

The reason why it is written is that it is the statement of what we stand for. It is actually a modern rendering of our Constitution written by the grassroots and it is taken seriously by those who do the grunt work in the party.

Our problem is that some people - mostly GOPe types - can see no way to subvert the will of the grassroots within the process - so they do everything they can to minimize it, essentially minimizing the will of the people by ignoring it.

Let me give you a good example - I was on the TX state platform committee and we were in our final phase of editing, past the point of having people come in and present their opinions, when a top Republican dignitary wanted to speak. He wanted us to change two of the platforms. We listened and then when he left I said, **Who else feels the need to rewrite these two planks?** And no one wanted to revisit what we had just spent many hours compiling and editing.

When this guy didn't get what he wanted he ignored the entire platform.

I ask if the platform meant nothing to him, why did he take the effort to come see us in order to get us to change the platform for him?

The good politicians, I mean the ones who believe in the Constitution and believe it needs to be protected, they are also the same ones who honor the will of the people. They are the ones who take the time to read the platform.

The platform is the will of the people because it was written by the true representatives of the people at the grassroots level.
