Yup. Sucks but it is a war. People die. Usually more innocents than bad guys. Thats why you go in full bore, kill as many as you can as fast as possible and end it. So in the long term, less innocents end up dead. Somehow in the world of nerf warfare where no one gets offended in a prop campaign much less hurt in a military one, that eternal fact of war was ignored.
And most likely few are actual ‘innocents’ there and since we read about so many killing themselves to escape ISIS, literally, I imagine a big percentage of those that are innocent prefer death as release from the hell of life under them.

Nibbling around the edges (by the Nibbler-in-Chief) has only allowed ISIS to kill and torment many more.
It has been the way of war since the first caveman bashed the second with a rock.
Every war after WW2 has gotten more and more innocents killed with every claim of ‘smart war’. Iraq is in the millions. so far. Because the left refused to actually fight a war.
Imagine what Europe is going to look like. Dresden on a grand scale.

If so, why does the GOP Congress consistently fund every Democrat program and initiative at the level demanded by Obama?
Because we have an element in the GOP (e) who have forgotten that their first duty is to safeguard the will of the people.
The Repubs pass everything Zero wants for 3 reasons, bribes, threats, or blackmail.
The Russians had the guts to do what Obama didn’t have the stomach for. It needs to be done. These goons who call themselves Islamic State need to be put in their place and Russia is doing it. The American news media can criticize their efforts, but at least they are doing something while Obama will not even acknowledge that Islamic State is Islam.

Lower-case letters were developed for a reason. It takes much longer to read ALL-CAPS text, than it does to read lower-case text (with caps for proper nouns, and the beginning of sentences). You may be passionate about the issues; but, I’m not passionate enough about your opinions to plow through a bunch of ALL-CAPS text.

Russians are taking a Holy Crusade to Syria and really hate the dark days of communism. Their holy crusade may eventually reach our shores. In which case, best to be ready.

And in more modern times there was Grozny. Flat out leveled WWII style. They used to be an image on the web. Showed a big 6 foot Russian standing in the back of a jeep. Looked like a mounted 50 caliber or bigger. Big Russian flag flapping out the back. Just being driven around probably shooting anything that moved. They scrubbed that many year ago. Impossible to find now on the web.
I bet Russia would have if we had a president like Reagan. But paranoid as Russia is they know exactly what 0bozo is like.
