In fairness to JB, he has no choice but to say this. He can’t say, “Yeah, I suck and I’m going to badly lose every primary”.

A reasonable answer would also be that he is getting out. The Bushites desperately need to take Trump down and fast. Because after Trump they have to finish off Carson and Cruz.

It is only 5 months to March and the huge primaries.

I don't think there's time unless Trump is gone in the next month. I would expect some major counter-Trump operations to be launched immediately to go with the drip, drip, drip method of demeaning the man that they've been using.

She's in terrible health. There's a good chance some disastrous health issue could take her out of the race. If that happens, I think they're stuck with Bernie Sanders as their de facto front-runner. Like McGovern in 1972, he's way too far left to win in the general. Any of our top four would mop the floor with him.

I think a win for JEB! is unlikely. OTOH, we’ve been getting Reality TV Politics for months. In NH, people, we the, actually mark ballots. I think that’s his message- once people actually choose instead of getting wrapped up in the Official Reality spewing from our viewers, the scene may change.
