People have gone completely insane.
Not headed there... not about to be... they are insane. The ship has sailed. They are looneytoons. Completely, bonafide insane.
It is a shame that an entire generation will grow up not knowing what the term common sense means.

Who really needs more than 7 staples anyways? None of those high capacity clip staplers. I guess he should consider himself lucky he wasn't running with scissors or something

I guess finger and toes are next.

If you point a finger or toe at someone you are setting yourself up for arrest as it is loaded with a nail.

Unless of course you were a POW and someone extracted your nails.

I guess then you would be aiming blanks...

Oh the madness.....

We had cap guns and plastic cowboy guns with holsters.
The teacher would take them away if we played in class but we got them back at the end of the day.

Now a cap gun would warrant a lockdown, FBI, SWAT team, arrest, criminal record at 10 years old.

I am so glad I was in school in the 70s and 80s. I weep for kids now.

It’s not a stapler …. it’s a clock.

You are late.
A kid can absolutely get in trouble for pointing like a gun. There have been kids suspended for doing this. Its insane.

This was an unfortunate incident. But school authorites and law enforcement officials who were not eyewitnesses to incident cannot assume that object was not a gun.

And yet.....holding a chair and threatening a teacher in Chicago
warrants no police action.

What is the capacity of that assault stapler? Senator Dianne Goldman Berman Feinstein is opposed!

And “colored people” are now “people of color”.

And my canned tuna is now tuna of the can.

I guess we ready called corned children, “Children of the Corn”.

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the "other" articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)

The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

Sources tell WBZ that a student was waving a stapler, and other students thought it was a gun.

So then, it's a school for mentally challenged children??

That’s it! Our homeschool is immediately replacing all of our guns with staplers.

Actually, I work from home and my wife just yelled at me for stealing the household stapler and keeping it in my office.

Come to think of it, she did wave it around in a threatening manner. It looked just like...a stapler.

“I am so glad I was in school in the 70s and 80s. I weep for kids now.”

I went to school in the 40s.

We played war and “shot and killed” each other constantly.

No big deal-—and we all grew up to be known as The Silent Generation. :-)

He is a good candidate for the Adjutant General Corps, where staplers, scissors, and multi-part forms are the weapons of choice. Paper cuts are fearsome, as are transfers to BMEWS.
