For a leftist, tolerance means total acceptance, and disagreement or disapproval means hatred. It is an adolescent mindset.

That is what Post Modernism is all about, destroying accepted sets of beliefs and replacing them with relativism. It is a rather aggressive form of nihilism that creates a vacuum for despotic rule to fill.
If there is no one truth, then whatever the elite dictates must be accepted.
